Research topics
Analysis: characterization of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) emitted by plants and other transformed vegetable matrices; analysis of the role of VOCs emitted in plant-plant and animal-plant systems for the purposes of communication studies through volatiles.
Main Instrumentation
The laboratory is equipped with the Proton Transfer Reaction - Time of Flight - Mass Spectrometer (PTR-TOF-MS), which allows to measure in real time, and with high precision, the spectrum of volatile organic compounds without the need for pre-treatment of samples
